The Shiner crew provided a prompt response to our request for an estimate, accommodated our schedule to set up the work, and then came at the time promised to do the work. They finished quickly, notwithstanding the horrendously hot weather, and left after providing a detailed description of all they did. I'd definitely recommend them for quality, timely work.

We had a company come to our door, Roof Simply, saying they noticed missing shingles. After walking the roof line they said we needed a new roof due to missing shingles and hail damage. We wanted another opinion so called Shiners to see what they had to say. After they came out to check our roof, they said the roof had life left for 3-5 more yrs. It just needed some shingles replaced and some caulking around the chimney. We appreciated their honesty and were back within a week to repair the damage. Will definitely call them when we do need a new roof.

Shiners was quick in coming over for an estimate for a wake trim due to wind damage and scheduling was easy. They even called earlier to let me know that they were coming earlier than the original scheduled date which I appreciate that they’re on top of their work load for their customers.

Shiner Exteriors completed a complete roof replacement for us, to include a pitched roof and flat roof component as well. I am very pleased with the result and the quality of work that Shiner did. They exceeded my expectations in terms of communication and follow thru, on a somewhat complicated job. I am particularly impressed that Kevin Shiner took such a hands on roll to communicate with us, to include several on site visits to make sure things were going as planned. I enjoyed working with Kevin and Bill, the original estimator for the job. Would highly recommend them.

I have used Shiner exteriors for 3 jobs. They replaced my gutters, front screen/main door, and my roof. They do a great job every time. They replaced my townhome roof last year, and the temperature on my top level is stable for the first time in the 23 years. Ryan was of great help and service.

We are repeat customers of Shiner and recently had our deck replaced. The Shiner experience was exemplary. The Shiner President set high expectations with us regarding the deck crew and the Trex decking material. The crew exceeded our expectations with their workmanship and attention to detail. Communication with Shiner was well coordinated on all levels. The resulting deck is well built and more beautiful than we anticipated.

We used Shiner to redo all of our siding and replaced it with Hardie plank. They were great to work with and left the job site super clean everyday. We had an excellent experience with the repair of a recent roof leak as well as some prior repairs performed by Shiner! The initial visit with the estimator was prompt and informative with the problem being diagnosed quickly. The estimate was reasonable. Two repairmen came to our house and were very professional and courteous. They completed the repairs efficiently and from what we could tell properly. Overall, we can highly recommend Shiner for roofing issues.

Used Shiner to install new gutter covers on top of new gutters. Ryan and his team provided a variety of options and a reasonable price. Once a contract was signed - they were prompt to get the work scheduled. Would not hesitate to recommend shiner to anyone for their gutter needs

We went with Shiner to replace all 26 windows in our house. From the sales call to the actual installation, Shiner was professional, courteous, and responsive. We had easy contact with the project coordinator, who kept us informed with progress of our install. The only delay was the window manufacturer running a week late producing our large order (not Shiner's fault). Shiner provided a large crew that installed the windows in a single day (including frame repairs) and finished the exterior trim the next day. Based on our experience, we recommend considering Shiner for exterior projects.

After conducting due diligence research, my family selected Shiner Exteriors to assess two leaks in our 20+ year-old roof. Shiner came back with a reasonable price for both a limited repair and a full-scale replacement. We opted for the full replacement. We also discovered a need to concurrently repair our two chimneys. Shiner worked alongside the chimney contractor and the project was completed on time and within budget. A particular shout out to the support staff who did a rather excellent job of clean up, leaving us to feel the Shiner firm exceeded our expectations and can easily be recommended for anyone in need of roof repair.

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with Shiner and especially the team that replaced the shingles on the roof of our house. After discovering a leak we called Shiner who came highly recommended from other homeowners in our development. Ryan came out timely, assessed the situation and thoroughly explained his recommendation and the process. After agreeing to the contract terms, Ryan came out to ace plastic sheets over the leak area and caulked over nail holes to prevent future leaks while the plans worked their way through approvals needed by our HOA as well as our city’s architecture review board, which was problematic as we live in a designated historical area. Their staff timely kept us informed of progress and made sure they had the specific materials ready as soon as approvals were obtained. The team that came out was professional and did a great job with installation. Very satisfied with Shiner and impressed with Ryan and his team.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Ryan came out and discussed the project for a new roof. He walked around my attic to check for leaks. There was no pushy sales pitch like other companies. He gave me the price and waited for me to contact him instead of hassling me to sign. The project took 4 days and looks amazing. We had no hidden fees or any issues. After a bad storm caused damages to our roof & gutters (hail) we had every roofing company within a 100-mile radius knocking at our door. Not 1 of them wanted to show us an estimate- they just wanted our insurance company's information. I recalled my brother telling me he had had his roof replaced so I put a call to him. I knew my brother would not allow anyone without experience and trustworthy to do his home repairs.  That is when I called.  Even after we decided to move forward with this AND put a sign in our yard with Shiner's logo we still had "storm chasers" from roofing companies knocking or putting a card in our door.  It was a very trying time for us. This company is reliable, their crew does excellent work, and they are extremely respectful & polite.  At the end of the day our roof was done and there was a thunderstorm. When I walked outside, they had finished but had yet to pick up their equipment and old roofing.  I found them under a tree in the yard and had to ask them a few times to please come on the porch or the garage and get out of the rain. The same goes with the office staff. They worked with me through all my questions and kept me updated about the work. It took a while to get the project started, but we knew there would be a delay due to the substantial number of homes damaged from the storm and the time it took to get things completed with our insurance company who also kept us updated.  Between Erie & Shiner we felt like we had a grip on what was going on, what do expect and how to handle things we needed to do. The only thing I am sorry about is that it took so long for me to get this review written. As far as the other questions listed below about the price are concerned, I do not feel I can answer.  Our insurance company paid a great deal of this and leaving us with the deductible, replacement of a few sheets of plywood and some of the gutter work that needed replacement but was not caused by storm damage, which was our responsibility. And, since I could not get an estimate from anyone OTHER than Shiner when I tried, I have nothing to compare prices.  I looked for reliable and honest, and I saw that in this company.  That beats price any day. We contacted Shiner Exteriors for some major roof and gutter works and are extremely pleased with the entire process. The company is very responsive. Joe Francis visited our home in no time, did a thorough investigation, gave us clear explanations about the issues, and offered several options for renovation and repair. The roof and gutter crews delivered fast, efficient and highly professional work. The teams are extremely dedicated and work together like a very well-oiled machine. I have been using Shiner for years. Every time they have gone above and beyond. They just replaced all my windows and patio door. The windows are fantastic. The house is quieter and more comfortable and the sliding glass door is as easy to open as paper bag. Don't go any other window and door replacement company till you check with Shiner first. The only criticism is that they have no showroom to see what they have to offer. But they do have a window sample they can show you in your house.

Met with Ryan in early August to have some roof work done. He gave us a couple of options to choose from but we thought it best to go with a full roof replacement. Price was reasonable and around what I expected. The crew was great and cleaned up after the work was done. When I found out that the skylight blind they installed wasn’t working. Gave Shriner a call and Meynor came out the next day to fix it. When he wasn’t able to Shriner ordered and installed a new blind within a week. Highly recommend

Shiner Exteriors were very professional from start to end. I called several companies to compare and even though they were not the cheapest I decided to go with them because of their extensive experience and service. They did a fantastic job of fixing my roof after a lightning strike. I highly recommend them.

After 27 years with the same roof on my townhouse, it was time to replace the existing roof and gutters. I was very pleased with the overall experience. With so many contractors leaving brochures and advertisements all the time, I was very hesitant regarding who to select. Two vendors contacted me and they never showed up to talk about pricing and roofing options. Consequently, I took my neighbors' advice and went with Shiner. I was very impressed with the initial visit by the salesperson who explained all of my options. Then the ladies at the Shiner office were great regarding scheduling. Best of all, the workers were very professional. They really did a great job, and a spectacular job of cleaning up after the work was completed. They even went to the yard next door to retrieve a few loose tiles. They arrived on time, and they finished the roof in a day. The following day, the team that does the gutters arrived - also on time and very professional. I felt that Shiner's pricing was competitive, and most critically, the organization is top notch. There are too many contractors stalking Ashburn that can very worrisome. I was quite happy with Shiner!

Overall, we thought that Shiner Exteriors had done a good job. Apparently, it did not quite satisfy Mynor, one of their inspectors. He came out, took pictures and subsequently sent Ernesto and companion to make several improvements on the roof. They spent about five hours in the process. We were quite pleased that the company insisted on a great job, rather than a good one. Shiner Roofing, as it was called back then, replaced our roof in 1994, and it lasted 31 years! Since my husband and I are both 85, I doubt that we will be able to put our new roof to the '31 year test'.

Excellent service. From the initial consultation to the install to the follow up. Everyone we interacted with at Shiner was professional, helpful and very good at their job. We had new gutters and downpipes installed on our sunroom. They are a perfect match for the rest of the gutters on the house. The install was quick and hassle-free and they left no mess for us to clean up. The following day we received a follow up call to ensure that we were satisfied with the work. Would thoroughly recommend.
