A LeafRelief gutter guard is a flat metal piece with perforated holes. The metal is independent of your roofing material or shingles so it can be used on any gutter in nearly any situation.

Two Gutter Guard Styles
We use two styles of guards – Classic and Zip. These can be installed on gutters in general. The ‘Classic’ style is a universal flat surface that works for any K-style gutter no matter what type of fasteners are used to hang the gutter.
The ‘Zip’ style has a raised step profile which allows the cover to properly sit above K-style gutters mounted with screw brackets. Both covers are fastened to the outer lip of the gutter using screws.

High Flow Design
A LeafX guard is more than a flat piece of metal with perforated holes. They’re made helmet-style with a dome cover and a flange that tucks up under your roofing material for an extra solid hold – no screws into your roof or fascia.
Because of their design, they’re mainly limited to homes with asphalt shingle roofing. But they can adjust to any roof pitch (the high-flow design works best on steep roof pitches).

How Long Will Gutter Guard Installation Take?
Generally, gutter guards don’t take our experienced teams long, whether installed on new gutters or over your current gutters. Specific timing depends on how many gutters we cover and how complex the project is. Not to worry – we’re great at scheduling and keep you in the loop at every step.

Will My New Guards Prevent Ice Dams From Forming?
Unfortunately, gutter guards cannot help prevent ice dams, which result from poor insulation and attic ventilation. Your Shiner project consultant can schedule a roof inspection as part of your project to determine what, if anything, should be done to prevent ice dams from forming.

Why Is Aluminum The Preferred Material?
Compared to materials like vinyl, aluminum gutter guards aren’t going to warp, bend, or crack unless a tree falls into them or something much heavier than a person on a ladder. Aluminum is also great for our Northern VA–Suburban Maryland weather – rust-resistant, weather-resistant, and it can easily handle quick, severe temperature changes over time.
Will I Have To Worry About Critters Anymore?
