Any Roof, Any Situation
A LeafRelief gutter guard is a flat metal piece with perforated holes. The metal is independent of your roofing material or shingles so it can be used on any gutter in nearly any situation.

Two Gutter Guard Styles
We use two styles of guards – Classic and Zip. These can be installed on gutters in general. The ‘Classic’ style is a universal flat surface that works for any K-style gutter no matter what type of fasteners are used to hang the gutter.
The ‘Zip’ style has a raised step profile which allows the cover to properly sit above K-style gutters mounted with screw brackets. Both covers are fastened to the outer lip of the gutter using screws.

High Flow Design
A LeafX guard is more than a flat piece of metal with perforated holes. They’re made helmet-style with a dome cover and a flange that tucks up under your roofing material for an extra solid hold – no screws into your roof or fascia.
Because of their design, they’re mainly limited to homes with asphalt shingle roofing. But they can adjust to any roof pitch (the high-flow design works best on steep roof pitches).

One look at this guard design, and you can see why they’re so effective. Nothing can get into them. For water, there’s a slit down the expanse, and that’s all. No clogging. Hardly anything is needed to clean them. And they look great, sleekly installed under your shingles overhang.

After a bad storm caused damages to our roof & gutters (hail) we had every roofing company within a 100-mile radius knocking at our door. Not 1 of them wanted to show us an estimate- they just wanted our insurance company's information. I recalled my brother telling me he had had his roof replaced so I put a call to him. I knew my brother would not allow anyone without experience and trustworthy to do his home repairs. That is when I called. Even after we decided to move forward with this AND put a sign in our yard with Shiner's logo we still had "storm chasers" from roofing companies knocking or putting a card in our door. It was a very trying time for us. This company is reliable, their crew does excellent work, and they are extremely respectful & polite. At the end of the day our roof was done and there was a thunderstorm. When I walked outside, they had finished but had yet to pick up their equipment and old roofing. I found them under a tree in the yard and had to ask them a few times to please come on the porch or the garage and get out of the rain. The same goes with the office staff. They worked with me through all my questions and kept me updated about the work. It took a while to get the project started, but we knew there would be a delay due to the substantial number of homes damaged from the storm and the time it took to get things completed with our insurance company who also kept us updated. Between Erie & Shiner we felt like we had a grip on what was going on, what do expect and how to handle things we needed to do. The only thing I am sorry about is that it took so long for me to get this review written. As far as the other questions listed below about the price are concerned, I do not feel I can answer. Our insurance company paid a great deal of this and leaving us with the deductible, replacement of a few sheets of plywood and some of the gutter work that needed replacement but was not caused by storm damage, which was our responsibility. And, since I could not get an estimate from anyone OTHER than Shiner when I tried, I have nothing to compare prices. I looked for reliable and honest, and I saw that in this company. That beats price any day. THANK YOU ALL AT SHINER FOR DOING SUCH A GREAT JOB.

LeafX provides guards with a lifetime and limited product performance warranty, and LeafRelief provides an extended 25-year warranty. The point is that these gutter guards are designed to last and perform for at least two or more decades in our Northern VA–Suburban Maryland area.
How Long Will Gutter Guard Installation Take?
Generally, gutter guards don’t take our experienced teams long, whether installed on new gutters or over your current gutters. Specific timing depends on how many gutters we cover and how complex the project is. Not to worry – we’re great at scheduling and keep you in the loop at every step.
Will I Have To Speak With A Salesperson?

Will My New Guards Prevent Ice Dams From Forming?
Unfortunately, gutter guards cannot help prevent ice dams, which result from poor insulation and attic ventilation. Your Shiner project consultant can schedule a roof inspection as part of your project to determine what, if anything, should be done to prevent ice dams from forming.

Why Is Aluminum The Preferred Material?
Compared to materials like vinyl, aluminum gutter guards aren’t going to warp, bend, or crack unless a tree falls into them or something much heavier than a person on a ladder. Aluminum is also great for our Northern VA–Suburban Maryland weather – rust-resistant, weather-resistant, and it can easily handle quick, severe temperature changes over time.
Will I Have To Worry About Critters Anymore?
We’re not going to say that it’s 100% certain no critters of any kind will find their way into your gutters…but they’ll have to be incredibly strong, crafty, and able to remove a part of the cover somehow.
