During installation, a member of the crew had inadvertently scuffed and dented some of her new shingles with his work boot.
On a large scale, scuffing can cause serious problems. That’s true because it scrapes away the tiny surface granules that help asphalt shingles protect your roof. Footprints can also degrade shingle performance.
